Anybody Here Have a Wish?

Wish-granting charities are starting to have a problem. They have a ton of money and not enough dying kids. Really. And while this seems to be a good "problem" for society, it is counter to why these groups were founded, and leading to wishes being granted to infants, senior citizens, and even kids who are perfectly healthy.

Unfortunately, non-profit executive directors have not yet made the eligible list. I've never been to Disney World.

The newspaper article states that the average cost of a wish is $1600 but the Make A Wish website says that the average cost of a wish is $6600 - which is right?

The fact that they think there are not enough dying kids is symptomatic of the way their charity stops at the border. As Angelina Jolie, or Bono, or Bob Geldorf, or any number of other celebrity do gooders will tell you - there are plenty of children dying, they're just not dying of fatal diseases in America.

My brother and I am seeking someone to help grant a wish for our dying mother. She was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, and we would love to get her back home to Chicago where the majority of our family lives. I am a disable veteran on limited income, and although my brother is not quite disable, he does suffer from a medical condition. So, if anyone out can assist us; (we'd like to use a Winnebago to make it comfortable for her and take our time driving so she can enjoy the view). We would forever be grateful. Who knows, it would also be a great human interest story.
