Political Posturing at its Most Pathetic
I can certainly understand why Michigan lawmakers think the Ford Foundation's funding priorities are no longer consistent with its founders' intentions. (Heck, I can understand why earthlings, period, might find the Ford Foundation's funding priorities a little out-of-whack). But this idea, of changing the laws to make it mandatory for any foundation founded or headquartered in that state to give at least 50% of their grants to Michigan organizations, is about the silliest thing I've ever heard. It's also preposterously short-sighted in that if they won, impossible as that seems, it would ensure that no foundation or large corporation would ever headquarter in the state of Michigan again.

Yet another example to highlight why Michigan's economy is going down like a sinking ship.
