If you were moved by yesterday's Independence Day celebrations to do your patriotic part and make a donation to a veterans' charity, please be careful. Here's an article from our site explaining why sometimes you may do more to serve your country by not giving to one of these groups.

I liked the article, very informative, except for the part of your post that says, that one might serve your country better by not giving to one of these groups. Since as your article states, you can give wisely and safely. Other than that.. great post Trent! :)
